Bud Osborne Oral History

Bud Osborne is an Indianapolis musician, broadcaster, and television production professional whose career has spanned both live performance and media production. As a teenager, he played guitar with the Indianapolis rock band The Blue Angels in the early 1960s, performing throughout central Indiana during the formative years of the state’s rock-and-roll scene. While attending Indiana University, he worked at student-run radio station WQAD before beginning a long career in broadcasting.

Osborne went on to become a respected television production specialist, spending decades behind the scenes in master control, engineering, and broadcast operations. His work helped bring countless live and recorded productions to audiences while his early experiences as a musician gave him a unique perspective on both performance and production.
