A Night of Music and Support: July Fundraiser for the Indiana Music History Project

On the evening of Tuesday, July 13, supporters and music lovers gathered at The Rathskeller Biergarten in Indianapolis for a special fundraiser benefiting the Indiana Music History Project. It was a perfect summer evening filled with great music, community connection, and renewed energy for preserving Indiana’s rich entertainment legacy.

The event featured two stellar live performances: Brian & Maria, who brought heartfelt rock and folk tunes to the stage, followed by the smooth, genre-bending sounds of the Rob Dixon Duo, delivering a dynamic jazz set. The music set the tone for a relaxed and engaging evening.

Guests had the opportunity to learn more about the Indiana Entertainment Foundation (IEF) and its ongoing initiatives, including Indiana Musicpedia—a growing digital archive dedicated to documenting the state’s musical heritage. Attendees connected with IEF board members, staff, and volunteers to hear updates, share stories, and explore ways to get involved.

Whether signing up for membership, renewing support, or simply stopping by to listen and learn, everyone who attended played a part in advancing IEF’s mission to protect and celebrate Indiana’s entertainment history.

Thanks to all who joined us and helped make the night a success—and if you missed it, there are still plenty of ways to get involved. Visit IndianaMusicpedia to explore entries, contribute your own stories, or support the cause through donations and volunteering.
