Description
The Buselli-Wallarab Jazz Orchestra returns to its holiday collection with a reissue of Carol of the Bells, adding four bonus tracks to the sold-out 2006 CD.
Christmas and holiday favorites receive the big-band treatment through arrangements by Brent Wallarab, alongside Duke Ellington’s arrangement of “Jingle Bells.” Vocalist Everett Greene appears on seven of the original recordings and one of the bonus tracks.
The original sessions took place on May 15, 2006, with the bonus tracks recorded on August 9, 2023. Both sessions were held at Primary Sound Studio in Bloomington, Indiana.
Produced in an edition of 1,000 copies, this CD offers a seasonal soundtrack for jazz listeners and anyone who enjoys hearing familiar holiday songs in a new setting.
