Indiana Music Radio. Launched in September, 2019, Indiana Music Radio streams 24/7 on Live365.com. A bottomless buffet of Indiana music across all genres and time frames, from the most popular to the unreleased and rare.

Indiana Music Library.  IEF is building a definitive Indiana music collection, with the goal of trying to obtain at least one copy of every Indiana related 78, 45, 33, compact disc and cassette tape ever released, similar to the Smithsonian Institution’s library of books and music from the US.  We draw from this collection to program Indiana Music Radio and create content for the Indiana Music Virtual History Museum.  Read more…

Indiana Public Forum Series.  Postponed for the past two years due to Covid, we plan to host several presentations and exhibits on Indiana music topics, such as Indiana Avenue jazz, Indiana garage rock, Indianapolis soul, Starr-Gennett and the early record industry, among others.  Moderated  by subject matter experts across Indiana with plenty of opportunity for you to share and discuss.  Read more…

Collaborations. Some of our permanent collection items have been scanned and added to the Indiana Historical Society’s online collection and the Indiana Memory Project.  We have served on the Indiana Historical Society’s Community Advisory Committees for the Starr-Gennett and Indianapolis Bicentennial Exhibit.  We work with the Timeless Music Project on its Gennett Suite Project and other areas.  We’re planning an exhibit on the history of the 1070 (WIBC) frequency in Indianapolis along with the Indiana Broadcast pioneers.
